haven't seen the movie, but MASH the series is very good. in fact, it's so good that i am taking the time to write this comment in addition to typing in the captcha word verification thing and my name/url to recommend it to someone i don't know. hmm.

everyone should recommend this film to everyone else. and then watch it again.
